EDI welcomes Maria Apergi and Luca Privinzano to the team
We are delighted to welcome Maria Apergi and Luca Privinzano to the EDI team. Maria joins us as a Research Officer and has recently completed her PhD in Environmental Policy and Development at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Luca joins us as an Assistant Research Officer and has recently completed a Master of Science in Economic and Social Sciences at the Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi in Italy. Both Maria and Luca bring to the team significant field experience; Luca having worked for BRAC Uganda in the Research and Evaluation Unit and Maria having conducted her PhD thesis research in Guinea-Bissau.
This month, as well as welcoming new team members we would also like to congratulate our Research Officer colleague, Henry Cust, who is moving on to begin his PhD at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Henry’s research will focus on income shocks and sexually transmitted infections in female sex workers. We are delighted for Henry and wish him all the very best for the future as he begins his PhD.
Maria and Luca have a wealth of expertise both from their academic qualifications and professional experience. Their short biographies are available here, along with those of other key EDI staff.
